Just wanted to say thank you so much to you and the staff for the trip to Ypres yesterday.  XXXX came home so animated and said that it was the second best school trip ever (farm of course being no.1! and will probably stay there), and it certainly sounded as they had a great time. It’s a long day for everybody and such a lot of organisation, but clearly well worthwhile!

I just wanted to write and let you know how fantastic your staff have been with my daughter and myself helping us settle into a brand new school and new routine.

Well done on another sports award. I love the fact that you support sport so much - I believe it's vital for children's development, mentally and physically.

Thank you for being such an advocate for it.

I went to Reception sports day on Monday and again today for year 1 and I wanted to say what a brilliant job you all do! Both my children didn't win any races but they loved every minute.  You got a great balance of formal and informal.  And as a parent I felt really welcome and it was fun joining in.

Just wanted to say well done.  Brilliant job.

Can I just thank you, and ask you to pass on an enormous thank you,  to you and your wonderful staff for the trips our children have had in the last week.  XXXX sung with an orchestra in a multi-story car park, they've been in Greenwich, Wimbledon and Kew, seen Roger Federer on No 1 court, the glories of a botanical garden and the wonders of Georgian paintings.

We are so impressed by your staff who have supported these activities, even buying XXXX lunch when he lost his lunch box. We're so delighted by the broad, rounded, creative curriculum offered by your school and the teachers. The choir's participation in a truly inclusive, unforgettable experience in Peckham against the back drop of the Shard and the London Eye will stay with all who were there for a long time.  Thank you.

The music concert was wonderful this week. It was great to see so many children and so much more music going on than in previous years - thank you!

Please can you also pass on our gratitude to the Y6 teachers as well as the TAs who took the children to Belgium last week. It was a fantastic (and brave) initiative that really paid off. Our son really enjoyed it - and for him, it crystalised the WW1 topic work that he'd covered in class this term in such amazing detail thanks to his teacher.

In response to after school care plans

This is very exciting and I’ve been very keen on the school providing after care.  September 2014 would be perfect!

Mrs Alexander,

A quick email to thank you for your letter informing the parents about the possible teachers' strike next week. It was really clear, answered all the questions I might have had and was neutrally toned. I particularly liked the impression that you and the governors were speaking with one voice.

More significant was its content - thank you for keeping the school open and teaching those classes that can be taught. Given that only this week a 16 year old was needing to remind us of how lucky we are to have education for all in the UK, I feel proud that I am part of a school that is making sure that as many children as possible can still access theirs on this day.

We're all delighted that our son gets to play sport in the playground at lunchtimes, it's absolutely brilliant that there are adults encouraging the children to play tennis and cricket and teaching them how to do it. He now loves both. Being football mad, I'd assumed he would just play football whenever possible, but he's been unable to resist the temptation to diversify - we're thrilled. I'm also convinced this is helping him to hold his own with older children, e.g, being confident enough to want to share his football with older children from school in the afternoons at Goose Green playground.
